      Kiba and Hinata's relationship is nothing more but platonic in the series. And unlike other already established pairings, Kishimoto didn't give enough screentime for these two to interact, so we pretty much know next to nothing about their relationship, other than the fact that Kiba happens to care deeply for the girl. After loosing his match against Naruto, a worried Kiba on a stretcher warns Hinata about fighting Neji.

"If you get Neji, then forfeit. He's cruel to you... you'll get beaten to a pulp." - Kiba, Chapter 78

      This, of course, could just be Kiba's nature to help his own teammates, but nevertheless, it was one of the major scenes between the two of them that officially made me an OTP of this pair. We do get a glimps of Hinata giving a healing cream to Naruto, but she also gave one to Kiba as well - because, obviously, he's a teammate of hers and since Hinata has a very shy and caring nature, its obvious she would give one to him as well. I also love how Kiba said, "Neji's cruel to you." when he was trying to warn Hinata about the upcoming matches. So he actually knows about Neji? And how exactly does he know about Neji being cruel to her? Plenty of people who were about to witness the Hinata vs. Neji fight didn't even know about Neji or the Hyuuga clan for that matter, so how come Kiba of all people knew about Neji being cruel to her at first?

      Thats why I'm sort of getting the impression here that Kiba has been witnessing and watching Hinata for the longest time, observing her while all of Team 8 worked together as a team, and came to understand her, her family, down to the last bit of her personality. Now, we don't get enough screentime of this pair interacting to know that for sure, but I get a feeling that thats exactly what Kiba has been doing ever since both him, Shino and Hinata were assigned to be Team 8. Because in my opinion, friendship and comradeship beats everything else. ♥
