why did we make a tribute to this unpopular pairing?
Well, seeing as both Linz and I still have a ton of work to do to get this OTP tribute 100% completely done, we thought it wouldn't be fair if we didn't give an explanation as to why this not-so-popular but extremely canon and quite cute pairing is one of our ES21 OTPs (along with HiruMamo too of course).
For me (Hiromi), I actually immediately fell head over heels in love with this couple as soon as I found out that there was a new female member who joins the Devil Bats who also happened to be a cheerleader. When I heard Suzuna was a cheerleader, I SQUEED SO HARD. As a baised person, I find the whole typical Cheerleader/Football player pairing extremely. I mean, come on? Whats not to like about it? Its cute, its describes young love perfectly and best of all; its really, and I mean - really romantic. ♥ It also generally has to do with how much I love Sena's character as a whole (he's dork love~<3333) and how I just want him to have the girl of his dreams. And not to mention - along with HiruMamo, I definitely see a Chemistry there between them as well (they look so good together). And I just generally think that Suzuna is pretty much the only girl Sena has to a love intrest. She sees him JUST as Sena when he's playing out on the field, and not as Eyeshield 21 like how everyone else sees him. And ahhhhh, they're just SO perfect for each other~<33 (yes I know, I'm aware that I'm all hyper as I'm typing this, LOL. XD;)
