other pairings

Below are some of my rambles and rants I wrote based on other pairings depicted in the series. However, thats not to say that I dislike or even hate all the pairings I listed below. I dislike most of them, but, there are other pairings in the series I definitely favour as well. I don't pair people up just because they look "cute" together- I have a lot of other reasons too, mainly based on the evidence given in the manga, or my own personal pairing prefrences.

Train & Eve: First of all, theres like a ten year difference between these two- and I highly doubt Train swings onto younger girls romantically (yuck). In fact, he's never swung at any girl-- not even girls as young as Eve. In the manga, however, these two have an incredible siblings bond that I love to read about. Train is just like a big brother to her. They're always inspiring each other to grow stronger. Eve is shown wanting to surpase Train's level and to defeat him, and with Train's incredible power, Eve is always vowing to get stronger. And this is such an incredible thing- I mean, I've always loved seeing their interaction. The anime basically killed their interaction and made it seem as though Eve has a crush on Train instead >_>;; Ack.

Train & Kyoko: To be honest, I'm not a big fan of Kyoko, and I never really liked her with Train either (I like her better with Sheldon actually. XDD). She's, in fact, way too clingy, and the anime portrays her even more of a Train fangirl than the original manga. I even hate girls who are always fangirling over the main guy, it really ANNOYS ME. And I even think it's safe to say that Train really dislikes the way she's always acting like a hyper, fangirl when she's around him. While I admit Train did vow to protect her, however, its more of an action of depth rather than love. And not only that, but it's Train's character to protect people. I mean, he didn't just save Kyoko, he saved Rinslet, Eve and even Sven too. It's rather something he feels he needs to do ever since Saya's death. And also, it was Sheldon whom even suggested in the first place to even go with Train and his group. I believe that Train agreed to protect Kyoko for Sheldon's will, and I'm sure Kyoko is grateful for that (besides her just having a silly, school-girl crush on him). That's it, really. Other than that, I just highly dislike this pairing.

Rinslet & Jenos: How many times was I shoved in the face with this pairing? Countless of times, I may add. As much as my friend persuaded me to like Jenos, I just couldn't; I never took the guy seriously, even when he was serious a few times. He's just another womanizer: he's always going around hitting on women, always getting rejected, and Rinslet was obviously no exception. However, I will admit this: if it wasn't for him saving Rinslet during the Chronos incident, she would have died, so I'll give him props for that. But really, it's not like he had a choice to save her; he had to. They were working together, and I honestly don't think it was out of love or friendship or anything. Other than that, these two are just completely mismatched in my opinion: Rinslets' serious about her work, and Jenos isn't. And Rinslet doesn't even trust Jenos at all. Even if for any reason Yabuki-sensei made them a couple (and I'm actually glad he didn't), I really imagine them not working out at all. I imagine Jenos always goofing off here and there, Rinslet always yelling at him, both of them always bickering. They even bicker in the manga. That's not healthy. They basically work like chalk and cheese. And frankly, I don't care if they ended up in the anime; I hated the anime anyway, I refuse to watch it again. I follow the manga more than I do the anime better. I'm just glad the anime wasn't made by Yabuki-sensei at all, because the way he wrote the manga is 10x more better than the crap Gonzo came up with.

Saya & Train: Thank god... this pairing actually makes way more sence than Train & Kyoko... *coughs* As far as I know, I'm a pro for Train & Saya as I am with Train & Rinslet. While Train & Rinslet is a prospect of future for me, Train & Saya is a prospect of past, where we find Train warming up to the women, to caring about her so much and loving her, and it was her out-going and carefree personality that rubbed off on Train, causing him to have a change of heart. I was completely heartbroken when she was murdered by Creed's own hands. ;_; I swear, I even cried... not just for Train, but for Saya... for the both of them. The two of them cared about each other so much, and it was so obvious he truly loved her. They even had potential as an official pairing. Personally I think thats the most angsty but sweetest thing ever, and I really do understand why more people pair these two up. They knew each other longer than anyone else on the series, and they both grew to love and care about each other. However, I'm also going to go against the couple a little bit to point out to everyone that Saya is already dead (god bless her soul, though ;_; ), and Train needs to move on with his life. He just can't continue to be sad or mourn over her- he won't have a life, if he does. It's really nice of him to think about her every now and then and remember their good times, though. ;_;

Train & Sven: These two have been through thick and thin together, even prior to the beginning of the story. After Train quitted working as an assasin for Chronos, he began working directly with Sven as a sweeper. There were a lot of subtle hints throughout the manga where they told each other their past lives, their stories (yeah I know, I read a lot into things. Give me a break! lmao. XD). They both know each other very well, and have this incredible bond of friendship, something thats impossible to break. They're always stuck to each other like glue, from the beginning to end. Sven is shown to care deeply about Train's health... in his own, weird way of course. XD; He even makes useful weapons for Train for his missions! And Train is always making fun of Sven's "Gentleman" philosophy. And their hilarious interaction always makes me laugh, whenever Sven punches him or yells at him whenever Train does something really stupid, lmao. XDDD

Train & Rinslet: *insert fangirl sqeal & cheers here* ;D Need I say more? xD

Sheldon & Kyoko: Right next to Train & Rinslet, these two are my absolute favorite (possibley my second OTP). Unlike Train, Sheldon knew Kyoko better than anyone else-- they knew each other before the series even started, when the two of them worked for Creed, and it's obvious they grew closer to each other before the series even started. Sheldon is also protective of her, and he knew Kyoko was innocent. He didn't want to see her hurt any further, so he sent Kyoko off to be with Train just for her own safety, while he stayed back. ;_; Kyah~ thats just the sweetest thing ever. >3< It's such a shame we don't see more of Sheldon anymore. *sniffs* These two were just so amazing and cute together.

Eve & Sven: Words cannot express how I strongly feel towards Sven and his precious relationship with this little girl. The ice-cream scene was so cute *giggles*. In the beginning when he dashed to see her and talk to her, despite his injury, really convinced me that he truly cares about this her so much. He's a real father-figure to her, and Eve has always appreciated him and his efforts, even from the beginning when she didn't even know him well. These two had a very strong connection, from the moment Sven told her that she didn't have to kill people anymore. I also find it really precious and cute how Eve is trying to get Sven's attention when she's always wearing cute outfits. *giggles*

Even & Leon: I'll have to read the manga again to remember why I even liked these two. xD;; *completely forgot ever since she finished the manga a long time ago & never re-read it* @___@

Sven & Rinslet: LOL, I bet you're like O_O to this pairing, lmao. I actually don't have a specific reason why-- they're just cute together in my opinion. XD;;
